Respect your body
Two motors. One per breast. Independent.
With the Asymmetry, each breast has its own motor: whether you pump from one or both simultaneously, the power remains full on each side.
Good pumping isn't about strong pumping. It's about stable, gentle pumping, adapted to your body, and that remains consistent session after session.
12 progressive power levels, 3 suction rhythms, and 3 distinct modes, freely combinable and adjustable separately for each breast.
After your purchase, you will receive two videos to help you get started with the Asymmetry: full operation and explanation of the recommended modes and why.
The motor and USB cable must never be washed or sterilized. All parts of the pumping kit (breast shields, connectors, valves, membranes, bottles) can be steam sterilized, microwaved in a suitable container, or washed in hot soapy water. Air dry before reassembly.

The suctioning program cannot be improvised.
Asymmetry does not offer random settings. Each combination of rhythm, power, and mode is the result of extensive design work. Built from what I observed in the field with thousands of you and my own pumping experience, with very fragile lactation that leaves no room for approximation.
We wanted each expression to adapt precisely: to your body, to your breasts, to the moment of the session.
Suction power and rhythm are two independent parameters on the Asymmetry, which can be freely combined.
Concretely: 3 distinct rhythms on each of the 3 modes, for 12 power levels each. You choose one without the other changing, independently on each side.
In stimulation mode, a fast and sustained rhythm promotes the let-down reflex. In expression mode, a slow rhythm combined with deep and sustained suction promotes effective drainage.
The Asymmetry program is based on published neonatal sucking data (Geddes et al. 2008), the only data available to date. Beyond the neonatal period, scientific data does not yet exist. We do not claim to fill this void. We rely on what exists, and where science stops, your experience takes over. What you report to us, what you experience, what you observe: that's what also helps Asymmetry evolve.
It's not power alone that makes for good pumping. It's the combination of rhythm, suction duration, and power: adapted to your body, at each moment of the session.

Adjust the power
Start low, then gradually increase.
An effective draw is not necessarily a strong one.
Take it with you everywhere!
Easily slip it into your fanny pack to accompany you throughout the day.
12 progressive suction levels: the first 9 are directly accessible, the next 3 can be manually unlocked for users who know their bodies and need them.
This fine graduation allows for precise adjustment according to the session time, breast condition, and let-down reflex, a tangible advantage for lactations that require a nuanced program.
The rule remains the same: a comfortable and adapted pump is more effective than a strong pump.
Three rhythms, one goal: to adapt to you
Regardless of the power, you choose the suction cycle speed across 3 rhythms. This free and independent combination allows Asymétrie to adapt to very different profiles: easy or difficult let-down reflex, established or developing lactation, sensitive or non-sensitive breasts.
Stimulation
Fast and rhythmic suction to trigger the let-down reflex.
Expression
Slower and deeper suction to promote effective drainage.
Mixed mode
Automatically alternates 5 stimulation cycles and 5 expression cycles, in a continuous loop. A mode to try, some of you prefer it for long sessions or power pumping.
To test, to adjust, to make your own.
